ABOUT
Sloth Jockey is an online venue for artists of all types to display their work. Begun in 2008, SlothJockey.com is still young, but we strive to increase our work base as much as possible by posting anything from entertainment reviews to fiction and non-fiction writing to visual art.
There is no central theme to the website, nor do we plan to implement one at any time in the future. Ideally, Sloth Jockey will become a free-for-all collection of work from contributors around the world who wish to contribute to an online community that values substance over glamour, recognizing, of course, that commentary or humor about the world around us should never be limited to one medium or another. The forms and facets of creative expression are boundless, and with a bit of luck, Sloth Jockey will thrive on the ingenuity of our contributors, though no such hopes should be entertained for its founding members.
With literature reviews, art portfolios, and general interest websites clogging the tubes around the internet, we realize that sites like SlothJockey.com are essentially a dime a dozen. It is our sincere hope that we can bring something new, or at least fun, to the whole soup.
Suggestions are always welcome at webmaster@slothjockey.com. We regret that we are unable to fulfill requests for live sloths at this time.
SLOTH JOCKEY TEAM
Jason Gantenberg aka Evil Mammoth
Section Editor, Writing/Blog, “I Don’t Approve of You or Your Lifestyle”
Jason graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English as well as a minor certificate in Cinema and Comparative Literature, and thus, possesses few, if any, real qualifications. He has written six unfinished novels ranging in length from a few pages to a few more pages, though some of his shorter works have appeared in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Academy Mag, Thuglit, and Dissident Voice. Jason also plays folk music, often refers to himself in the third person, and regularly personifies and speaks to inanimate objects in his daily life.
Blake Mikol aka The Polski Samurai
Webmaster, Writing/Blog, Cartoonist, "Enlightened Trip to Nowhere"
Blake was born and raised in the East Coast but lived in the Midwest most his life. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communications and Technology (a major comprised of graphic design, web design, photography, video, and print). Seeing there were so many directions to go within his major, Blake became confused and distracted which still hovers over him on a daily basis. Blake loves to draw, write, watch movies, design, sing in the shower, read, and play video games even though he is thoroughly convinced he is not good at
any them.

He is currently attending culinary school because of his passion for food. He also enjoys movies, music, and comics and wishes to share his plethora of useless knowledge with you. Though Danny is not a real doctor, he enjoys borrowing the title and helping people with their problems.
