SUNIL P. NARAYAN

Sunil has elevated his poetic technique to the classical level to show his nature which is refinement and sophisticated intelligence. He believes poetry should never be short and unpolished…such is the popular style of the post-modernist artistic era. Poetry is eloquent and entertaining when refined or classical. If one were to look at the bulk of contemporary poets the topics are too common and lack clear, comprehensible language. Poetry has to not only transcend human emotion but cling to it as well. It is what makes people want to read his work over and over and is why he is published often. He admires anything that is aesthetically sophisticated because as an Indian he has high expectations for literature. Sunil grew up with the classical epics of India, learning the names of mythical poets who received a divine task to teach mankind stories to guide it in its path of virtue.
