Morion, hyperion, platynodes,
       megamorio pouring out from
       bark of tropical trees
Logs which will be
       formed into figures
       before which humans

Kneel—and kneeling
       give value to wood
       infested with beetles
Gold painted over
       wooden image’s
       aged rotting core

In this temple
       river blind worshippers
       present offerings with
Hands beneath whose
       skin Loa loa grows
       crawling out from eyes
As full grown eyeworms
