Theory of Remiss
BY KJ I MAY 9, 2009
Sadness and tears do not come from the same place.
When I step out to howl with owls I feel like a fool because
all that those cuckoos can do is coo like staccato notes from a cello.
Everyone wants a few tunes played for their undead name before turning yellow...
Everyone gets one, or two, or a few, but...sometimes we only get hoots.
The closer my body gets to feeling like jello the closer I get to having to eat jello.
Knowing what one loses or gains differs from the moment of loss or gain.
Sadness and tears meet at the moment when one has to swallow one's pride and eat jello.
Then they diverge at heartbreak.
Follow the spoon.
Chin up.
"Nurse, can you please close the window? Bird calls keep me up."
